35 mm film
processing

to process a 35mm we need to use a process tank, this comes in 5 parts;

  1. the tank itself
  2. the post
  3. 2x film spools
  4. light tight funnel
  5. light tight lid

first we had to memorize where the different parts of the tank was and also memorize how to build it in the dark room.

whilst in the dark we started by putting the post in the tank then we had to open our film with a can opener then cut it away from its pot' then we had to place our film in the spool this was a very tricky part of the process because you had to delicately force the film past the ball bearings on the spool without damaging it, then once it was done we could start winding the film on with a crank type motion until the film was fully on' after this we placed the spool onto the post we already put into the tank !
"the tank we had was able to hold 2x spools" when the post was full we then had to place the light toight funnel on top and twist it until it locked! finally we placed the lid on top of the tank and pushed the centre of the lid down to create suctionfirst we had to memorize where the different parts of the tank was and also memorize how to build it in the dark room.
